• Portrait (Sensor): the screen is in a portrait orientation, but the sensor is used to change direction.

Note: Depending on the device, you may not be able to use several modes.

MTN has improved the Nightlife bundles, formally the fair usage policy was limited to 500MB/day which means you can only use 500MB per subscriber every day, now 2GB/day. And now this runs from 11 AM-6 PM as opposed to its initial 12 AM-4 AM interval.

Airtel too has a night plan that offers 250MB for N25 and fair usage policy of 1.25Gb/day. This plan runs from 12 AM-5 AM.

Before we go further you need to get the destination drive ready, and this could be done using an external Hard drive enclosure or a SATA-to-USB adapter.

To create a secret and private folder thus protecting your files, you have to follow this detailed tutorial carefully.

How to create a secret folder using Invisible Folder Icon 

• Navigate to The Storage Location. On your PC, the storage location could be C: or D: or you could plug in an empty and unused USB flash drive and navigate to that drive.
• Create a new folder named temp in the location where you would like to keep your file.
• Create a new folder inside the temp folder that was created in the second step.
• Click on Properties. On the new folder that has been created, right-click on the folder and click on the properties option.
• Click on the customize tab.
• Under the customize tab click the Change Icon option which allows you to customize your icon thumbnail or image and guess what, you could make your icon invisible from this very option.
• Select one of the empty spaces as your icon. Once you are inside the icon interface, you are to select one of the empty spaces as your icon. To achieve this you just have to scroll to the right on the pop-up window.
• Click the "Ok" button on both icon and properties menu.

Renaming Your Folder:

• Select the second folder that was created in step 3, and rename it.  Now, this the tricky part which is where we have to create an invisible name as we all know that all folder must have a name. To achieve this, you just have to hold down the "Alt" key while imputing this new file name (if on a laptop, hold down the "Fn" key as well) and punch down this keys 0160 or 255 on the number pad after which you hit the enter key.
• Move your files. If you did the above step correctly, you should notice that your folder now has both an invisible name and Icon. Now, you just have to move your files into it.

 

How to create a secret folder using the "hide folder feature"

 
This option is quite easy to get done.
Create a folder just like we did in the previous method. 
Choose any name of your choice,
Move files into it.
Then right-click on the folder, click on properties,
Change it's "Attributes" to hidden,
Be sure to apply the changes to folder, sub-folder and files. (This is to prevent the files in the folder to appear in search results.)
That's all.
Now to access the files on a later time,
On a Windows 10 PC open the windows explorer,
Click on the View tab and check Hidden items box

What is TrustedInstaller?

Now, the TrustedInstaller is a Windows security protocol that restricts you from deleting or modifying important system files, such as the contents of 'C:\Windows'.

Note that some of these files might be just a few kilobytes while some of them might grow up to several gigabytes and these might be tempting to delete just to grab some extra space on your PC but guess what? the "TrustedInstaller" says no man, you can't touch that file because it's under my care and so without the appropriate permission, you're going to have a hard time. And So to tackle this problem, you'll have to change the rights of the file and transfer the ownership of the file/folder which you would love to delete to a new author or principal.

What is System File?

Well, system files are core files on the computer system that are write-protected. These files can't be modified, deleted, copied or transferred in-between devices etc unless you bypass trustedinstaller. Any file or folder that aid the smooth running of your computer system Is a system file. System files include explorer.exe, regedit etc.

To Bypass TrustedInstaller and modify system files.

To Change The File Ownership so as to make the TrustedInstaller' inactive, follow these detailed steps below:

• Locate and Click The File You Want To Delete or Modify.
  Now to begin the Change of permission in a computer, you have to locate the file (System File) and select it using the left click button of your mouse.
• Right-click on the file and select the properties option. By taping the right-click button, You open up a tabbed menu that allows you to perform various modifications on the protected file or folder.
• Click On The Security Tab. When you've clicked on the security tab, you should see all groups in your computer system that has the permission to view the file.

• Click On The Advanced and Change Option
• Type this phrase "Everyone"  without quotes into the text box and confirm using the OK button.

• Now, Create a new principal author with your name by clicking the "Add' option. Now, with this principal author added, you should now be able to edit the permission entries for everyone that has authorization over the file or folder. This principal should be our own man so to say.
• Now, type in your account name. All you have to do now is confirm the window and set everyone's access level to Full Control.

• Confirm your changes by selecting Yes in the new window. This is the final step for us to achieve our aim.
• The final step in this Tutorial is to exit the Properties menu after all your settings and modifications are through. You could do this by clicking on the "x" button which closes the open window which you were working on. After this, you're free as a bird to modify or make the necessary changes you want to the main file.

Warning: Please be careful while deleting system files because deleting any system file could affect your PC badly. To be safe don't delete or modify any file you don't know its function. If you ever make that mistake, then you might need to reset or reinstall windows thereby losing files.

Note: To bypass trustedinstaller, you have to make sure that you are logged into your PC as an administrator or using the administrator account which is not as a guest or an added user.

• Type in "create partition primary" and press the "Enter" key. This command creates a new and clean partition on then USD drive that has been marked as active.
• Type "format fs=fat32" or "format fs=ntfs" and press the "Enter" key. Now don't be scared as this command format the drive in a universally readable format that is readable and usable on any operating system. Now for the above command, please you have to note that if the USB drive storage is smaller than 32GB you should make use of the "format fs=fat32" command but if the drive is greater than 32GB, then you have to make use of the "format fs=ntfs" command.
• Type in "exit" and press the "Enter" key. This particular command returns you to the standard command prompt.

Once you have done this correctly, your drive should be available for data storage and other uses.

The hard drive is not initialized

If the hard drive is a new drive then this could definitely be the problem.

• To fix this go to the disk management console,
• Look for any drive labelled unallocated(with the size of drive you are looking for)
• Right-click on the drive and click on New Simple volume

 

 The hard drive is hidden

If the hard drive is hidden by some partition manager, it won’t appear in File Explorer. However, this time you cannot fix this issue by simply add a drive letter to it. You can unhide the partition by using any partition manager tool or MiniTool Partition Wizard.

You can also know if your drive is hidden or not by going to the disk management. Right-click the partition that has no drive letter, and sees whether the feature “Change Drive Letter and Path…” is greyed out.

In the main interface of MiniTool Partition Wizard Free,

Select the hidden partition and choose Unhide Partition from the action panel.
Select a drive letter from the pop-up window and then click OK.
Press Apply at the toolbar.

Unsupported or RAW file system:

If the external hard drive has unsupported files system or hard disk become RAW, the partition bar won’t show up in Windows File Explorer. You can only see the drive icon and drive letter there. If you try to access the drive, Windows requires formatting.

To fix this simply format the drive by clicking on 'restore device defaults' on the device format window. 

Drive not enabled in the BIOS

If the hard drive is not showing up in Disk Management and Device Manager, it may be because it is not enabled in System Setup (BIOS).

Some motherboard manufacturers disable unused ports in the BIOS by default, which is the common reason for the 2nd hard drive not showing up in Windows 10/8/7.

You will need to enter BIOS to verify their current states and make sure all hard drives are enabled.

Note that different computer manufacturers have different methods to enter system BIOS, please check your system documentation for specifics.

Faulty hard drive

If you have completed the above checks and the external hard drive is still not showing on your computer, you should send the hard drive to repair center and check whether it fails. If it is still on the warranty, please proceed to begin a warranty replacement.

Xiaomi Teases 1st Under-display Camera for Smartphones

The Era of under-display camera is here!

@XiaomiNigeria in one of their recent posts gave us a heads-up on their soon to launch under-display Camera smartphones. With devices now featuring notches in a bid to use the full view for display.

The question is, how do you get a full-screen display without the need for a slider,  pop-up or notch camera? 

Xiaomi in their post just like Oppo is exploring the possibility of hiding the front-facing camera under the display. When the selfie camera is activated, the display area over the camera lens becomes transparent in an instant, allowing light to enter. This could be the ultimate solution for a full-screen display coexisting with a front camera.

Another question is how could this be done?

According to Xiaomi, the selfie camera is hidden under the display, with a cleverly designed display-embedded camera combo;  the transparent display doubles as the camera lens. By allowing more light into the lens, the under-display camera is able to produce perfect selfies, clearer and crisper than the pinhole camera solution when the camera is activated.

When the display is turned off, the front camera disappears and results in a black surface that is completely seamless.

This will retire the now trending notch design in smartphones.
