I want to take us through how to backup up contacts online using Google Contacts. Google contacts is one of the various services offered by Google.
In case of loss of your phone, you can easily call up your contacts without much hassling. Your contacts are also available for you to access online through contacts.google.com with or without your phone.
So let's get down to business. All you need to do this is your Android device, a Gmail account, and an internet connection.
I assume that you already have a Gmail account, if you have not signed in your Gmail account in your phone, go to Settings >>> Accounts >>> Add account>>> select Google and sign with your Gmail account.
That done,
Go to contacts,
Tap the three dots at the top right corner of the screen,
Then choose where your contacts are saved, this should be either your phone or sim and click next,
Choose where you want to export to, this should be your Gmail account and click next,
Now select all contacts,
Click OK at the top right corner.
Then go to Settings >>> Accounts >>> Google
Tap the three dots at the top right corner and click on sync now to synchronize your contacts to your Gmail account.
Then go to Settings >>> Accounts >>> Google
Tap the three dots at the top right corner and click on sync now to synchronize your contacts to your Gmail account.
Note: Your data should be turned on throughout this process.
That will be all for now. Feel free to ask questions through the comments section and do subscribe for our updates.
