Printing(Saving as) to PDF has always been tricky on Windows, but finally, Microsoft included it in windows 10.
That said, Windows 10 users can print any document, anywhere to PDF without stress.
If you can print a document to a hard copy, then you can print any document to PDF. Just locate the document and print, choose Microsoft print to PDF as the printer while printing. You will be prompted to enter the file name and save. That's all.

How To Print to PDF for other apps/users
But for Windows 8, 7 and Vista users you will need a third party app.
There are many apps out there you can use to print to pdf but I like PDFCreator because of its likeness to Microsoft Print to PDF in Windows 10 and of course its easy to use.
Download PDFCreator from this link and install the file.
Note: You must have installed Microsoft DotNet 4.0 or above in order to install this file successfully.
After installation, open the document you want to print to PDF, while printing, choose PDFCreator as the printer. You will be prompted to enter the file name, choose the location where you want to save the file and save.
